Today we have information about the basic ideas in government.  We will look at ideas related to:

- What exactly is a country?
- Why are there governments?
- What is Social Contract Theory?
- What are the different types of governments?
- What is a Constitution?
- What type of government do we have?
- What are the common characteristics of a democracy?
